Panic Bolts

Panic bolts are devices used to secure emergency exits in buildings, such as doors or gates, while still allowing people to quickly and easily escape in case of an emergency.

Panic bolts are typically installed on doors that swing outwards and are commonly found in public buildings such as schools, hospitals, and offices. The device usually consists of a spring-loaded bolt that is operated by a horizontal bar. When the bar is pushed, the bolt retracts, allowing the door to be opened.

One of the key features of a panic bolt is that it can be easily operated by anyone, including those who may be unfamiliar with the building or the device itself. This is important in emergency situations where people need to quickly and safely exit a building.

In addition to their function as emergency exit devices, panic bolts can also be used as a security measure to prevent unauthorized entry. They are often used in conjunction with other security measures, such as access control systems or alarms, to provide a comprehensive security solution for a building.
