Call Points

Call points typically consist of a button or switch that, when activated, sends a signal to a central control panel or monitoring system, which then activates an alarm and alerts designated individuals or emergency services.

Call points can also be used to operate electric locking systems on doors , in the event of an emergency.

In the UK, emergency call points are typically required to comply with the British Standard BS 5839-9:2019 for fire detection and fire alarm systems in buildings. This standard provides guidance on the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of emergency call points and other fire detection and alarm equipment in buildings.
