The London Fire Brigade (LFB) is responsible for responding to fires and emergencies in the Greater London area, and as part of their efforts to ensure public safety, they have developed a set of standards for fire safety locks that are installed on doors within buildings.
Fire safety locks, also known as London Fire Brigade locks, are designed to ensure that doors can be quickly and easily opened by emergency services in the event of a fire.
A similar system is offered through the ACL Key Scheme . The ACL aims to provide disabled key holders with independent access to public toilets locked by ACL locks throughout the country.
