Electric Locking

Electric locks are locks that are operated electronically, rather than mechanically. These types of locks can be installed on doors in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, as well as on gates and other types of entryways.

Overall, electric locks offer a range of benefits over mechanical locks, including enhanced security, convenience, and flexibility. They are particularly useful in situations where multiple people require access to a space, or where advanced access control features are needed.

There are several different types of electric locks available  including:

  • Electric strike locks: These locks have a spring-loaded latch that retracts when an electric current is applied, allowing the door to be opened. They are typically installed on the door frame and work with a variety of door hardware, such as knob sets, lever handles, or panic bars.

  • Electromagnetic locks: These locks use an electromagnet to hold the door closed. When an electric current is applied, the magnet is deactivated, allowing the door to be opened. They are typically installed on the door frame and work with a metal plate mounted on the door.

  • Electric deadbolt locks: These locks use an electric motor to operate the locking mechanism. When an electric current is applied, the motor rotates the bolt, allowing the door to be locked or unlocked.
