Fire Door Retainers
Dorgard fire door retainers function alongside regular door closers, and are specifically designed to hold the door in an open position. They use a mechanical mechanism to keep the door securely in place until released. The door closer is then able to close the door. They offer an alternative to electromagnetic door closers linked to a fire control system.
These fire door retainers are released when a continuous sound of over 65Decibels is detected for over a period of 14 seconds (such as a fire alarm). They also have a foot operated mechanical release. They are battery operated and can be easily installed in around 5 minutes. They work with doors weighing up to 160Kg, and door closers with maximum power of EN-7.
